Ways to Volunteer
Ways to Volunteer
Every man we serve is walking a long road—out of prison, out of pain, and into purpose. Volunteers walk that road with them. Whether you serve behind the scenes or face to face, your time and presence can become part of someone’s turning point.
Here are some of the most impactful ways to get involved:
Mentor a Man
Become a consistent, trusted presence in the life of a man transitioning from incarceration. Mentors listen, encourage, and walk alongside our men through real-life challenges, spiritual growth, and practical next steps.
No perfect answers required—just a heart to show up and walk alongside.
Serve Inside Prisons & Jails
Join a team that leads weekly Bible studies, life-skill classes, or discipleship groups inside local correctional facilities. Volunteers also help facilitate worship nights, graduation ceremonies, and holiday outreaches behind the walls.
A prison sentence doesn’t stop the Gospel—and neither should we.
Teach, Train, or Share Your Skills
Have a gift for teaching? Good with finances, trades, or life skills? Lead a class or workshop for men in our reentry program. Whether it’s resume building, budgeting, parenting, or spiritual development—your wisdom could be the breakthrough someone needs.
Help on Campus
From serving meals and cleaning apartments to landscaping and painting, there are always hands-on opportunities to help care for our residential campuses and the men who live there.
Groups welcome—great for churches, men’s ministries, or corporate teams.
Support Our Events
Help plan, host, or serve at one of our many community events throughout the year—graduations, family days, holiday gatherings, fundraisers, and more. These moments create lasting impact for the men and their loved ones.
Join the Family Support Team
Support the wives, children, and families of the men we serve. Help with care packages, school drives, holiday gifts, or just provide a listening ear for someone carrying the weight of waiting.
Use Your Creative or Administrative Gifts
Writers, photographers, videographers, designers, data entry pros—we need you, too. Behind-the-scenes roles are vital to keeping our mission moving and our stories seen.
Start Where You Are
Whether you have one hour a month or one day a week, there’s a place for you at Men of Valor. We provide training, support, and community for every volunteer—because you’re not just helping men rebuild their lives, you’re stepping into the redemptive work of God.
