Love and encourage Men of Valor staff, volunteers, and participants in such a way that reflects and honors Christ. Represent Men of Valor as a therapist to counsel and inform our students and the incarcerated population about trauma, addiction, and therapy. Work closely with the Counseling Director to cultivate a safe and healthy environment for Men of Valor staff and participants, to include the launching and supporting of a more robust counseling program for Men of Valor at our reentry campuses and for Men of Valor program participants in prisons and jails.
Salary
$68,000 + competitive benefits package. This is a grant funded position.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in facilitating Counseling Manager in providing counseling services both onsite and in the local jails/prisons.
- Implement curriculum and best practices surrounding trauma and addiction to be applied in programs, individual and group therapy for the incarcerated and reentering populations.
- Facilitate individual counseling and group therapy sessions.
- Implement the most effective modalities for ACE’s & Prison Trauma (EMDR, IFS Therapy, etc.)
- Work with Department of Correction, jails, Core Civic, and relevant Men of Valor staff to establish protocol for programming inside state prisons.
- Hybrid position requiring travel to local jails two to three days a week.
- Schedule sessions for interns and participants:
- Work with Front-Line Team to determine participants for counseling.
- Carry an active caseload for clients at the Ridge, Valor Way, or Chattanooga campuses.
- Attend monthly full-staff meetings.
- Attend monthly front-line team meetings (when necessary).
- Other duties as needed or assigned.
- Professional experience working with those suffering from trauma and substance use disorders.

Requirements:
- A master’s degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- Pre-licensed, temporary license or full licensure as an LPC, MSW, MFT.
- Required to work a flexible schedule including some night and weekend availability.
- A valid driver’s license and active personal car insurance.
- Personal professional liability insurance.
- 30-40% Travel requirements to counsel, teach, attend ministry events, and ministry functions.

Position Overview:
We seek a dedicated and dynamic Community Engagement Manager to drive community involvement in East Tennessee (Knoxville and Chattanooga), manage events, and assist with fundraising. The Manager will implement development campaigns, cultivate mid-level donor relationships, and manage and execute large-scale events. This role requires a passionate and experienced leader who can inspire others to support our mission, expand our impact, and ensure seamless event experiences for stakeholders. The role is based in Knoxville and involves regular travel to Chattanooga.
The mission of Men of Valor is to win men in prison to Jesus Christ and disciple them, equipping them to re-enter society as men of integrity, becoming givers to the community rather than takers. Men of Valor helps men involved in the criminal justice system transform their identity through new life in Jesus Christ while providing evidence-based pathways to a good life in society characterized by housing stability, financial mobility through employment, improved physical and mental health, restored relationships, and personal fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Management: Plan and execute events to engage donors, community members, and partners, including handling logistics, coordinating with venues, managing catering, and overseeing all event details. Men of Valor typically hosts two large-scale events yearly in each market: a fundraising breakfast (600 guests) and a night-time Gala (250 guests).
- Venue Coordination: Select and negotiate with venues to secure favorable terms, manage contracts, and coordinate logistical and programming needs (e.g. audio/visual, etc.).
- Catering Management: Work with catering providers to design menus, ensure high-quality service, and manage dietary considerations.
- Registrant Communication: Maintain clear communication with event registrants, send confirmations, answer inquiries, and provide event updates.
- Registration & Check-in: Oversee registration processes, manage event check-in, and ensure a welcoming experience for all attendees.
- Post-Event Follow-Up: Ensure timely follow-up with attendees, partners, and sponsors to express gratitude, gather feedback, and maintain ongoing relationships.
- Partnership Development: Collaborate with community partners, faith communities & leaders, corporations, and local organizations to build relationships that support the organization’s fundraising and event efforts.
- Reporting & Analysis: Track and analyze fundraising and event performance, providing regular reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors on progress, challenges, and opportunities. Experience using CRM, Sales, or Donor Management software is a plus.
- Campaign Management: Coordinate, and oversee aspects of fundraising campaigns, ensuring successful execution and achievement of financial targets.
- Donor Cultivation: Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with donors, focusing on mid-level donors, faith communities, and corporate partners.
- Donor Engagement: Create and implement engagement opportunities for current and prospective donors, including events, one-on-one meetings, and outreach programs.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with the Philanthropy Team and other senior leaders to align fundraising and event efforts with organizational priorities and initiatives.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, fundraising, and/or development within a non-profit or related setting, with a proven track record in event coordination and donor engagement.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, event management, or a related field is required.
- Faith-Based Commitment: Strong understanding of and commitment to the faith-based mission of the organization, with experience in engaging faith communities.
- Event Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and manage events, with attention to detail and an understanding of logistical and guest management needs.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to implement fundraising campaigns and event plans.
- Community Engagement: Experience working within the Knoxville & Chattanooga or similar communities, focusing on building partnerships and engaging diverse stakeholders.

The Grants Fiscal Analyst will work closely with the Director of Finance & Administration, the Accounting Specialist, and the Grants Coordinator to manage and analyze financial data for grants, while
ensuring grant financial records are accurate and reported by assigned deadlines.
The Grants Fiscal Analyst will report to our Director of Finance & Administration and will be a remote worker reporting to our Valor Ridge campus in Antioch, TN.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial Management of Grants:
o Monitor and track the financial status of grants: Ensure accurate allocation of funds in compliance
with grant agreements.
o Process Financial Transactions: Timely and accurate processing of grant expenses, including
invoices, reimbursements, and financial reports.
o Reconciliation: Reconcile grant-related financial data with the organization’s accounting system. - Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Assist Grant Budget Preparation: Assist in preparing grant budgets, including detailed cost breakdowns for grant applications and proposals.
o Expenditure Forecasting and Monitoring: Monitor and forecast spending trends, ensuring grant funds are appropriately allocated within timelines and expenditures are accurately reported in relation to approved budgets to prevent cost overruns.
o Collaboration: Work closely with the Accounting Specialist to ensure that Grant Revenues and Expenditures are included in overall budget and forecasting processes. - Reporting and Compliance:
o Reporting: Prepare and submit required financial reports for grantors, ensuring deadlines and grantor guidelines are met.
o Compliance: Maintain compliance to federal, state, and local regulations related to grant funding.
o Audit Assistance: Assist in audits by responding to inquiries regarding grants and providing supporting documentation. - Record Keeping and Documentation:
o Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of grant-related financial transactions, including receipts,
contracts, and budget documents.
o Ensure Accessibility: Ensure that financial documentation is available for internal and external review. - Grant Management Support:
o Collaboration with Program Managers: Work with program managers and grant administrators to
ensure efficient use of grant funds and resolve financial issues as needed.
o Fiscal Guidance: Provide guidance on proper fiscal practices and help with troubleshooting any
discrepancies or issues.
o Tracking Renewals/Closeouts Assist in tracking grant renewal and closeout processes. - Process Improvement:
o Suggest Improvements: Propose enhancements for internal controls, fiscal processes, and policies
related to grant management.
o Streamline Processes: Help improve procedures for submitting and tracking grant-related
expenses. - Other Duties: Perform any other ad-hoc financial or administrative tasks, as required by the organization.

Requirements:

• Two or more years of relevant work experience as a Fiscal Analyst or similar role; Non-profit or grant experience a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
• Target Salary: $55,000 – $60,000, depending on qualifications
