When released from prison, a man who expires his sentence receives $75. A man released on probation or parole receives $35. He is also given khakis, a white shirt, and a bus ticket, if he needs it, to anywhere in Tennessee. Many men have burned bridges to family members and friends and now have nowhere to turn. Employment possibilities are limited due to a lack of skills and a criminal record. Many become homeless, and others end up living with ex-felons and addicts. Too often, these men fall back into the same behaviors that landed them in prison.
El programa de cuidado post carcelario y de reinserción de Hombres de Valor permite a los participantes que ingresan en la academia de discipulado superar inmediatamente estos abrumadores obstáculos. Los participantes son recogidos en la puerta de la prisión por alguien de nuestro personal o voluntarios, al ser liberados. Hombres de Valor les da la bienvenida a un hogar y les cubre sus necesidades básicas: ropa, comestibles, transporte, asistencia para obtener una identificación y un empleo a tiempo parcial durante los primeros seis meses. El programa de un año tiene como objetivo brindarles a estos hombres el apoyo, las habilidades y la responsabilidad que necesitan para vivir de forma independiente y tener éxito en la comunidad. Los hombres que completan el programa de reingreso o reinserción y cuidados post carcelarios de Hombres de Valor durante un año, tienen una tasa de reincidencia inferior al 15%.

- Money management (budgeting, saving, goal setting, etc.)
- Community service activities
- Connection to local church congregations
